Step 1 of the PADI Open Water course includes Orientation and eLearning and is where your journey to become a certified scuba diver begins!
After registering for the course, an instructor will contact you to schedule a 45-minute Orientation that will be conducted via Zoom where we will discuss the details of the Open Water course, logistics, and explain how PADI eLearning works.
Upon completion of the Orientation your instructor will setup your online account with PADI with your Open Water eLearning modules.
Years ago scuba students began their certification journey with 1-week of in person lectures and classroom work. Thanks to technology that has been replaced with self-paced online training modules known as eLearning.
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule from the comfort of your home. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question.
Upon completion of the PADI Open Water eLearning modules you will be ready for the final step of your Open Water certification journey Step 2 - In Water Training.
